If i change my status from H1 to F1 until approval of 140 and change status from F1 to H1 will affect my green card process? I heard that once 140 is approved one will get 3 years extension irrespective of status ( i mean on F1 or out of country) . Please clarify

Since we had filed 140 recently. we got e-approval with notice saying actual notice will follow in mail.

Check with the employer and the designated lawyer if they received a notice saying 140 denied.If not check with your employer and see how the trend is wrt 140 approvals recently if anyone got approvals or any denials if yes is it an Ability to pay or Education.Either way you can file a Motion to reopen for both 140 and 485.I believe it has to be done in 30 days. So you should really rush getting this done.I would advise doing it from a very experienced lawyer than the actual lawyer who filed your original cae.

I am not sure what came out of this campaign (I really haven't read the entire thread), but it appears that at first glance, it had to do with limiting EB2s to certain job titles.
I read some posts from the thread you mentioned and i was not able to read it entirely as it was a very long thread. I couldn't figure out what changed with respect to EB2 job zones. I have filed my current perm in EB2 with senior software engineer title and i am not sure what will happen to that. I am in this country for 5 years and still struggling to get my PERM approved (So far i have filed PERM three times :)) Is there anyone in IV who has got their PERM approved with Priority date from DECEMBER 2008 onwards? This will be little encouraging.

Thanks for the update - Lets give them 1 more week for clearing July 2nd.

By the way 765 they say compliant till 7/2 which means individually filed 765 not the 765 which was sent with 485 package - Right ?

I reviewed the State of Washington's unemployment compensation website, and from what I can see you would be eligible for benefits as long as you were legally authorized to work for the last 24 months and continue to be authorized to accept new employment. I have EB2 i-140 approved with PD Dec. 05. I am planning to change the employer.. was just waiting to see if CIR gonna help.. but looks like its not. If I change job now, I will have to do labor, i140 once again!! might be able to maintain PD. .. my question is... I believe that in Octo. 06, new quota for GC will be available. What are the guesses that the PD will become current (at least for Eb2 India) in Octo 06?? Some educated guesses are highly appreciated.
I wish same. But it is 200% not possible. We are getting lot of Labour approvals from BEC's . If P.D dates stays as 2003 Jan it is great.
I think there is much possibility for more retrogression. It may go back upto 2002 Jan for EB2 also.

It's true that one has to mention about 485, select a choice between consular processing vs processing with in USA. this is usually done while applying for 140.
However, one can always make an amendment (to either approved 140 or 140 in pending ) to change the choice
by doing so, one has to wait for a bit longer time. (but, what difference it makes in these days of retrogression?)

Can someone please confirm the renewal fee required for EAD application (I-765).
My I-485 receipt date is Aug 2, 2007., notice date Sep '07.
However, my AOS application was filed under the old fee structure ($395) pursuant to July 2007 bulletin.
My company's attorney has submitted the application without fee, and USCIS has issued a receipt notice...i.e., they have not rejected the application.
In 2008, I paid the renewal fee when I applied on my own.
My understanding is that fee is required as per I-765 form instructions (page 7). My EAD is expiring mid of August and have been waiting, but not sure what to do

We wouldn't know this number until DOS publishes Immigration Statistics for 2010.

I just bought a nikon d50 kit and the dealer sold me sigma lens' with the kit. I have since upgraded the camera body to a d70S. Now I am having problems with the lens', autofocus doesnt work all the time. Sometimes it works...then other times it wont focus at all.
Does anyone know if the sigma 18-50mm and the 70-300mm af/mf lens' are compatable with the d70s?
Sometimes Sigma lenses can have issues with different cameras because Nikon makes subtle changes to the way the camera talks to the lenses - changes that work fine with Nikon lenses but on occasion cause havok with third party lenses. If you contact Sigma, they should be able to tell you if an incompatibility between the lens and camera is indeed what is happening, and if so, they should be able to upgrade the processor in the lens (I'm not sure, but they may even do this at no cost).
The dealer told me the sigma lens were better then the nikor lens' because they have a metal mount whereas the mikor was a plastic mount. is this true and is this somethign i really should have worried about?
If you compare the Nikon 18-50mm with the Sigma 18-50mm (your Sigma is the f/2.8 model, right?), then I'm guessing that the Sigma will be better. Compared with the more expensive Nikon 18-70mm zoom that is sold as a kit with the D70s, they're probably about the same (bear in mind that I don't really know, since I've only used the Nikon 18-70 personally). I don't abuse my lenses, so what the lens mount is made of matters relatively little. In many cases a metal lens mount may be a sign of better quality in other areas including image quality, so the dealer wasn't entirely full of it, but I would be wary if someone tried to sell me something other than what I wanted for that reason alone.

I already have a lawyer and the ONLY reason I want to file myself is because I am fed up in chasing lawyers, my company etc. They don't respond in time and anyways I am preparing all my documents my self and guiding lawyer also.

I was in the same boat as you. I did not get my wife's AOS receipt but all others ( 5 out of 6) . But when the FP notices came with her AOS receipt number on it, I thought USCIS may have misplaced the receipt.
Right after the fingerprint, we received this LUD on her AOS case:
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Notice returned as undeliverable.
On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.

I do not know what was posted. But if it was not offensive language (and I mean offensive as in use of swear words), I do not agree that moderator or super moderator should delete it. Let it be there, if it is useless drivel, it will be ignored by most. So deleting an opinion or comment does not sound right, and it undermines the credibility of forum, especially in the US where these sort of things not taken lightly (think of communist label).
I understand the concept of keeping focus on immigration matters only, but leave it to members for most part.
The implication of our way or highway sounds childish.
