My wife is currently on h4. She has applied for H4 to F1 trasfer i539 application with university A in May 2008. She is currently enrolled in University A on H4 as her application is pending. Now she got admission from a better unversity (starting Spring - Jan 2009) and she wants to join this university. What is the process to transfer her university given her i539 application is still pending (and probably remain pending till early 2009).

There is no way I can travel back to US before August 10th. As per what I heard, a newly issued AP cannot be used to reenter the U.S. if it was not valid as of the date of departure form the U.S. IS this correct?

Use I-134 instead which is used for EB petitions.

this is just me, i would not go anywhere other than fidelity or vanguard..research more in the internet.
i am switching employers and i have about 10k in my 401k with current employer. my next employer does not have the option to start 401k until after one year of service.i am looking for options to rollover my 401k to a IRA in a company. does anyone have any recommendations?thanks in advance

1.) What time is it taking to get a receipt by USICS? (NON Premium Processing - I�m in NY City - so probably Vermont Center)
==> It took me two weeks. I applied in Vermont center too.
2.) Do we have any rule in written (Official), that as soon u apply for transfer, without getting the receipt; you can work for the new employer?
(So I can show it to my new employer)

Dear DC/MD/VA Members:
We have come to a point where lot of friends would be joining us. I would encourage all of DC/MD/VA members to open their houses to host or support financially or donate miles or do anything that would minimize the expenses for our fellow friends and make them welcome.
More than that I would like to emphasize that we need to participate in large numbers volunteering and make this event a grand success.
